Frankfurt, 21 May 2025 – Ogilvy Group Germany is filling the position of Chief Growth Officer (CGO) with Maximilian Weiss. The experienced agency manager, who has been with Ogilvy since 2016, will assume overall responsibility for new business, the growth strategy and the customer-oriented bundling of the agency group’s offering with immediate effect. The appointment underlines Ogilvy Group Germany’s focus on growth and strengthening its market position in a dynamic competitive environment.
Weiss, who rose from Account Director to Managing Partner Growth & Marketing during his time at Ogilvy, has made a significant contribution to the growth of the group in recent years. In cooperation with the teams of the associated agencies, he was able to win well-known accounts such as Audi (Global), Vorwerk (Global), Prime Video, Canon, R+V Versicherung and SunExpress Airlines. Before joining Ogilvy, Weiss worked for agencies such as Publicis, VML and Kastner and also gained experience on the client side at Media Markt and Deutsche Bahn.

In his new role, Weiss will be part of the Ogilvy Group Germany Board – and together with Armin Jochum (Executive Chairman), Chris Jungjohann (CEO), Horst Wagner (COO), Helmut Hechler (CFO) and Nina Kumpovic (CPO) will be responsible for the strategic direction of the Group.
Weiss’ area of responsibility includes managing the New Business team of the group, which includes the agencies thjnk, loved, Social.Lab and INGO Hamburg in addition to Ogilvy Germany. His focus will also be on networking the group’s integrated competencies – from advertising, PR & influence, social media to experience and consulting – even more closely and developing innovative solutions for the complex challenges of modern clients.
A particular focus is on further developing the integrated offering across all agency brands in order to be able to offer customers fully integrated end-to-end solutions.
