In response to the rising cost of school supplies in Sri Lanka—where Braille paper became unaffordable for most visually impaired students—ProMate launched a nationwide donation campaign to collect gently used notebooks. Blind students, unable to see old markings, could still use the remaining blank pages. This simple but powerful insight led to the creation of “Second Life Notebooks,” a social initiative turning everyday school waste into accessible learning tools. Through a moving short film and wide community engagement, the campaign built a donation network that helped support every blind student in the country for over two years.
