Great art should belong to people who truly love it. But how can those selling art make sure that their customers truly appreciate its beauty? To ensure the pieces in this year’s IKEA “Art Collection” ended up in the hands of true art lovers, we created the He(art) Scanner, which tracked viewers’ brainwaves and heart rate while viewing pieces. If the piece truly moved them, they had the chance to purchase it.
