Dubai, United Arab Emirates, March 17, 2016 – The Memac Ogilvy network elevated the standards of creativity at the 2016 Dubai Lynx International Festival of Creativity taking home 66 awards at the ceremony hosted in Dubai, UAE on March 9th, 2016. Memac Ogilvy picked up awards in each and every category with 5 Grand Prix awards as well as second and third place for ‘Agency of the Year’ and for ‘Network of the Year’ respectively.
With over 2,500 entries across 16 categories, the 10th edition of Dubai Lynx Awards saw immense competition as the Middle East and North Africa regions top agencies and brands battled it out to win big for creative communications campaigns. Memac Ogilvy’s work for clients such as Coca-Cola, IKEA, Unilever, Al Jazeera and Greenpeace International stood out for originality and effectiveness in driving brand awareness, changing consumer perceptions and inspiring social change.
Three of the five Grand Prix awards were scored by Memac Ogilvy & Mather Doha in the ‘Print’ category for Qatar Islamic Bank’s Public Safety Awareness campaigns. The other two were granted to Memac Ogilvy Dubai for Coca-Cola Middle East’s remarkable Ramadan campaign in the ‘Interactive’ category and to LifeBuoy’s ‘Handle on Hygiene’ activation for the ‘Outdoor’ category.
In addition to the creative work for clients, the Dubai Lynx 2016 gave young talent in the region the chance to win big with the Young Lynx Competition. Memac Ogilvy’s Naz Yunt along with Geometry Global’s Tiago Cortez and Unilever’s Lara Kerbaj scooped up the Young Lynx Integrated Competition Gold prize. The trio was required to answer an integrated brief that challenges creative thinking and media planning skills with just 24 hours to complete the task.

The network, which boasts offices all over the MENA region, picked up victories across 16 different categories, taking home Grand Prix, gold, silver and bronze place for their work in radio, print outdoor, film and interactive media. Other categories saw campaigns winning for PR, integrated campaigns, film-craft, direct, design promotions and activations.
