Sir Martin Sorrell On Black Swans
Ogilvy TV caught up with Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP Group, on the last day of Cannes Lions 2014. He spoke to us about global factors – black and grey swans – that will affect Ogilvy and the entire advertising industry in the future, and the increased level of uncertainty. However he stressed that these should be considered as opportunities and not issues. He went on to say that clients, in his opinion, were too focussed on cost rather than growing the top line, and should embrace creativity in the broadest sense.
