Chief Creative Officer Ogilvy Latina, Co-CEO Ogilvy & Mather Mexico
César Agost Carreño, or “Checha” as he is also known, is the Chief Executive Officer at Ogilvy Mexico & Miami. He is also the Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy & Mather Latin America and is the agency’s Global Creative Director for Coca-Cola.
Under Checha’s leadership, Ogilvy & Mather Latin America was selected Regional Network of the Year at Cannes Lions in 2015 and 2016, and the most awarded Latin American network at the Clio Awards in 2015 and 2016.
Checha is the first Argentinian to win a Grand Prix at Cannes.
He has been awarded the Grand Clio on two occasions, the Grand Prix in the London Festival, and a Grand Effie. In total, Checha has been awarded 29 Cannes Lions, 15 Clios and several other honors at major award shows such as One Show, D&ADs and Effies.
From 2011 through 2013, Checha was the CEO at Ogilvy Chile; he was the agency’s Chief Creative Officer from 2003 through 2011. From 2000 through 2003, he was the Creative Director at Ogilvy Argentina.
A member of both the Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide Board and the Worldwide Creative Council, Checha has developed work for major brands like Coca-Cola, Sprite, Unilever, Procter & Gamble, Nestle, AB Inveb, and Heineken Group, among others.
