Dear Tham, I’m an artist and have provided creativity workshops for schools and businesses for the last 25 years. I just wanted to say I agree with your comments in the May/ Guardian article. I run workshops in schools and at the London Business School but it remains difficult to get mamagers to appreciate that learning is about placing ourselves in a position of inexperience, we are too use to being experts locked into our subject and out of most others. To me art is the most important subject at school because it is about imagination, philosophy, questioning reality and risk but it is not a subject that is truly valued and mostly seen as only appropriate for students wanting to be artists. I use drawing and painting to release the subconscious in teams and release more of the whole person, not that much has changed in 25 years but I enjoy trying to show that there are other ways of working.
    Best wishes Peter
