Shenan Chuang is CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Greater China. She joined O&M in 1985 in Taipei and has been with the agency ever since, relocating to Beijing in 2003.
She is one of the most respected and influential people in the Chinese advertising world and is the key person making O&M the highest ranked and most well-known agency in Greater China. Shenan has dedicated her career and passion to helping Chinese and multinational clients build 360 Degree brands. She is perhaps also best known for the unique and dynamic corporate culture that she has created and fostered at O&M China.
Shenan loves to write and has always been a passionate promoter of the marketing communications industry. She translated “The Unpublished David Ogilvy” and the new edition of “How to Advertise” into Chinese. Shenan is the Chief Editor of O&M’s quarterly magazine, Viewpoint, which has become a best-seller in mainland China and Taiwan. Today she shares her appreciation for creativity and advertising on a daily basis with her more than 3.3 million fans that follow her on Weibo (China’s version of Twitter).
Shenan was named among the “Top 25 Business Women in China” by FORTUNE China magazine in 2010 and 2011. In 2010 and 2006, she was awarded “Agency Head of the Year in Greater China” by Campaign Asia Pacific. She is also the co-founder (with Ogilvy China Chairman TB Song) of the China 4A and served as the organization’s Chairman in 2006, 2007 and 2010.
