I have been with what is now the Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide organization for the past 20 years. My current title is Chairman & CEO.
The discipline of healthcare communications is unique for a number of reasons. First, there is an inherent need to understand the fascinating and often complex, scientific and clinical aspects of disease and the therapies that treat it. There is also an intricate and interconnected set of audiences and influencers to navigate, all operating in a highly regulated environment. Finally, healthcare communications is unique – and wonderful – because it allows us to connect our creative marketing and communications skills to a meaningful and motivating objective: the health and well-being of individuals around the world.
Talent is the only foundation upon which long-term success can be built in the agency business. Only through great talent – spirited, collaborative, supportive and supported talent – can truly great work be produced. And only truly great work will keep and attract client over the long course of time.
