Ogilvy & Mather Shanghai Wins Xing Wei College Account

SHANGHAI, 19 September 2011 – Xing Wei College, one of the earliest privately owned and operated colleges in Shanghai, is being transformed into an American-style liberal arts residential college. It has appointed Ogilvy Shanghai as its 360° retainer communications agency and strategic partner. Offering a unique value proposition in China, Xing Wei College in Shanghai is approved by the Chinese Ministry of Education to provide Chinese and international students with a progressive learning experience based on American curriculum before transferring them to highly rated American universities.

To build awareness and understanding of the Xing Wei College brand, OgilvyOne and Ogilvy PR will develop a synergized communications and marketing campaign that encompasses digital marketing, print advertising and on- and offline promotions such as planning an open house day. Ogilvy will also design Xing Wei College’s official website.

Vera Dong, Vice President of Marketing, Shanghai Top Education, said, “Ogilvy’s leadership and each team member demonstrated their interest and passion for Xing Wei’s philosophy, ideology and education goals. Their thoughts and ideas demonstrated in–depth understanding of the market and people. We look forward to working together.”

James Duan, Vice President of Ogilvy Group Shanghai said, “We really appreciate Xing Wei College’s advanced approach to higher education, its passion for igniting the talents of Chinese college students to achieve their own success, and their dedication to helping them become independent, well-rounded individuals before they continue their education at top universities in the US.”

Xing Wei College’s revamped website will be officially re-launched in September. For more details, please visit http://www.xingwei.edu.cn.
