Ogilvy Wins Six at MIXX

NEW YORK, NY, September 28, 2010 - Ogilvy won six awards, two gold and four silver, at the 2010 MIXX Award Show celebrating the best creativity and impact in interactive advertising.  This international award show was presented by the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) in New York.  The 6th Annual MIXX Award Show is the official award show of Advertising Week and is the only competition in the industry with entries evaluated and winners selected by a jury comprised of leaders across agencies, marketers and publishers. 

Ogilvy won two gold awards, one in the Business-to-Business category for its “The Smarter City” campaign for IBM, an interactive experience that supports IBM’s Smarter Planet initiative and depicts how cities can become smarter with interconnected data.  The second gold went to Neo@Ogilvy for their MetLife campaign, “2009 Term Life Insurance.” 

Kraft Foods’ Lacta and OgilvyOne Worldwide Athens won silver for “Love in Action” in two categories: Digital Integration and Social Marketing.  To promote Lacta chocolate in Greece, Kraft Foods’ Lacta and OgilvyOne Worldwide Athens crowdsourced a 27-minute branded-entertainment film, heavily involving the audience who were kept updated through a blog, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Flickr accounts. On Valentine ’s Day the film aired on Greece’s top TV channel and online, with great success.

Cisco and OgilvyWest and Neo@Ogilvy won silver in the Interactive Video/Online Commercial category.  Their campaign, “The New York Times Disruption with
Video,” took over the homepage of The New York Times with an overlay of videos of some of the day’s main stories.  The Colorectal Cancer Association of Canada and Ogilvy Montreal won silver in the Public Service/Not for Profit category for “getyourbuttseen.ca.”

OgilvyOne, as both Marketer and Agency was a finalist with campaign by OgilvyOne Worldwide, “The Search for the World’s Greatest Salesperson” for OgilvyOne New York.
