PARSIPPANY, N.J., November 4, 2010 – Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide (www.ogilvychww.com), representing the largest assembly of creative talent in the world of healthcare communications, today announced the appointment of Michael Zilligen as president of Ogilvy CommonHealth Specialty Marketing, the organization’s full-service advertising and promotion agency, focused on high-science and specialty markets.
Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide is a part of the Ogilvy & Mather network (www.ogilvy.com) and a WPP company (NASDAQ: WPPGY, www.wpp.com).
In his new role, Mr. Zilligen will oversee all company operations, strategic planning and new business initiatives for the group.
Immediately prior to assuming leadership for Specialty Marketing, Mr. Zilligen was president of ProCom, a CommonHealth medical-education unit (now named Ogilvy CommonHealth Medical Education). In June, CommonHealth and Ogilvy Healthworld merged to create Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide.
With more than 20 years of industry experience, Mr. Zilligen has expansive knowledge and expertise in the healthcare arena, on both the client and service sides of the business. Mr. Zilligen has been with the organization for nearly six years and is an expert in domestic and international specialty product management and market planning.
“Michael’s stellar reputation and extensive background in the healthcare marketing arena, including right here within our own network, made him by far the most ideal choice to take over the reins as president of this fast-growing group,” stated Michael Parisi, managing partner of Ogilvy CommonHealth Worldwide, to whom Mr. Zilligen reports directly.
Mr. Zilligen shared, “As our group embarks upon our sixth year in this dynamic industry, I look forward to the surge of new treatment options and technological innovations on the horizon. Such scientific discoveries and advancements will allow Ogilvy CommonHealth Specialty Marketing to even further expand upon our global and US-based client offerings.”
