FRANKFURT AM MAIN, 2 May 2011 – As part of the restructuring of all agency strategic services, Ogilvy & Mather Germany has appointed Larissa Pohl as Managing Director Strategy per 1st May 2011. Mid-2010 the agency merged its strategic departments in one group called RED. RED offers its services to all German offices.
“Ogilvy & Mather is the only German agency group to unite all disciplines under one brand. We want to deepen this advantage and have created the managing director role for strategy because we believe that this will significantly improve creativity, quality and efficiency across the German operations,” says CEO Thomas Strerath.
The strategic services portfolio includes Creative Planning, CRM and Brand Consulting, Data & Analytics, Digital Strategy, Social Marketing, Information Architecture, e-/m-commerce, Shopper-Marketing and Research.
Larissa Pohl, previously Head of Strategic Services, Ogilvy & Mather Germany, took on the managing director role per 1st May. Her clients include o2, Otto, Arvato and Nescafé Dolce Gusto and she is very involved in group-wide new business activities.
In her new role, Larissa aims to spark new ideas and analyse business challenges from different perspectives: “Clients value Ogilvy & Mather for creative ideas that deal intelligently with the brand-consumer interface. And we can no longer take a one-dimensional approach to these ideas but need to develop individual strategies for individual channels. That is why a permanent exchange amongst diverse experts is so productive.”
Larissa has a degree in psychology, worked in market research and then established the strategic planning department at wob, Germany’s leading B2B agency. She joined Ogilvy in October 2007 as Head of Brand Consulting.
Larissa is also on the board of the German Account Planning Group where she is involved in training and development initiatives.
