Ogilvy & Mather Wins 17 at 2010 CLIO Awards

NEW YORK, May 27, 2010 – At the 2010 CLIO Awards, a global awards competition for advertising, design, and interactive, Ogilvy & Mather received 17 statues: one gold, 2 silver and 13 bronze. Thirty-five were also short-listed. The awards are part of the annual CLIO conference, which takes place in New York.

Ogilvy & Mather Santiago won the only gold, as well as a bronze, for its UNICEF campaign. Ogilvy & Mather Singapore, which took all three silver statues, had the most wins in the network with 8 statues  – seven of which were for its Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream campaign for Unilever. Ogilvy Brasil won three bronze, with two of its highly publicized campaigns (Burger King WhopperFace and the $71,000 Bar Tab) winning one each. Ogilvy offices in France, Johannesburg and Thailand also took home awards.

This year, Ogilvy Global Creative Director Tham Khai Meng served as the chairman for the Television/Cinema/Digital jury. Ogilvy North America Creative Digital Officer Lars Bastholm and OgilvyOne Singapore Creative Director Melvyn Lim both served on the Interactive jury.
