SYDNEY, June 29, 2011 – As part of its 10th anniversary celebrations Ogilvy Public Relations Australia, a joint venture between Ogilvy PR Worldwide and STW Group, has today launched The Ogilvy PR Finishing School.
The competition is open to university students and recent graduates and is designed to support the professional and personal development of the competition winner.
The competition is hosted on Facebook and is open to students and recent graduates. Ogilvy PR is asking entrants to describe in 100 words or less what they think the biggest challenge for the communications industry will be in the next 10 years. Entries will be judged on creativity, originality and standard of writing.
Ogilvy PR will select two winners, one from NSW and the other from Victoria, to spend the week at its offices in Sydney and Melbourne respectively. The program includes training, career advice, ‘Brand You’ development, practice interviews, shadowing account and management teams as well as the chance to meet the team and learn about each of the Ogilvy PR disciplines (brand and consumer, business to business, technology, public affairs, internal communications, digital influence, sustainability communications, social marketing and research). Ogilvy PR is also providing a $500 gift voucher for the winners’ first corporate wardrobes.

The competition goes live today, and closes on Friday 8th July. The winners will be announced on Friday 15th July. Students and graduates can visit the Ogilvy PR Australia Facebook page to enter.
