MADRID, June 14, 2010 – Álvar Suñol, General Creative Director of Bassat Ogilvy Madrid joins the Executive Committee of Bassat Ogilvy. The main objective of his appointment is to reinforce the creative reputation of the company at every level.

Álvar Suñol assumed the creative leadership of the Madrid agency in 2007, a year after being nominated by El Ojo de Iberoamérica Festival as México’s Best Creative of the Year. Before his incorporation to Bassat Ogilvy, he was Deputy Chairman and General Creative Director of JWT México, agency he joined in 2004 after leading the executive creative management of McCann Erickson Barcelona, Grupo Lorente and DDB, where he started his professional career in 1995 as copywriter.
During his career, Suñol has worked, among others, for clients such as ONCE, Banco Santander, Ford, Volkswagen, Unilever, Nile, Kellogg’s, HSBC, BBVA, Nestlé, Schering Plough, Energizer, Coca-Cola, Pfizer, Cadbury Adams y Wall-Mart.
As Creative he has achieved various important awards and participated as jury in the main festivals of the advertising sector. Examples of this are the awards obtained in El Sol, Fiap, Premios Eficacia, El Ojo de Iberoamérica, Eurobest, CdC, or New York Festival.
With more than 14 years of experience in the creative field, Álvar Suñol is a graduate in Advertising and Public Relations at the Autónoma University of Barcelona and completed a Master in Communication at Dean College, Franklin MA (EE.UU).
