NEW YORK, July 23, 2013 – Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), a division of WPP, announced today that Michael Dobak, 44, a five-year veteran of Ogilvy & Mather New York, has been appointed to the newly-created role of CEO, Ogilvy & Mather West, effective immediately. He will be leading all West Coast operations, which includes O&M Advertising, OgilvyOne and Ogilvy Public Relations across four cities - Denver, Los Angeles, Sacramento and San Francisco. Dobak will be based in Los Angeles.

"Michael will be charged with building a gateway to technology, entertainment and gaming companies, located in the West, that are directly involved with this revolutionary transformation in marketing."
Dobak, a California native, started his advertising career in Los Angeles at Dailey & Associates before moving to Northern California to lead the Sprint PCS account at the original Hal Riney & Partners in San Francisco. Dobak worked for Arnold in Boston where he led the Progressive business before joining O&M in 2008 to work on IBM. He has spent the last two years as the Global Managing Director on the IBM business most notably helping to build the "Smarter Planet" agenda.
