Ogilvy PR Worldwide Announces Leadership Transition in Brussels

BRUSSELS, Belgium, 4 February 2010 – Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide today announced a leadership change to its growing public relations and public affairs operations in Brussels. Jeff Chertack, a veteran public affairs specialist, has relocated from Ogilvy Washington DC to assume the role of Managing Director in Brussels.

“This is the great advantage of a global network,” noted Ogilvy PR Global CEO Christopher Graves. “We can move world-class, experienced professionals like Jeff Chertack from Washington DC to Brussels to both build the Brussels business and increase the flow of interconnected work between world capitals such as Washington and Beijing.”

Chertack takes the helm effective today from Natalie Sarkic-Todd who has led the Ogilvy PR Brussels office since 2006, during which time the office has established a track-record of winning pan-European creative and digital accounts the latest being the European Commission’s flagship biodiversity campaign unveiled by the Spanish Presidency in Madrid last month. Sarkic-Todd will continue collaborating with the firm on a consultancy basis.

“I am proud to have led Ogilvy PR Brussels to the position it now enjoys as a market leader in integrated campaigns,” noted Natalie Sarkic-Todd, “and I am confident that the business will continue to go from strength to strength under Jeff Chertack’s leadership.”

Chertack brings long experience managing global projects for international clients. He joined Ogilvy in 2003 from the Washington, DC public affairs firm DCS Group, part of the Dutko Group Companies. During his tenure in the U.S., Chertack has worked across the agency to build a specialty public affairs expertise in health policy. In 2007, PRWeek named Chertack as one of 40 PR professionals under the age of 40 to watch in the industry.

“Ogilvy PR has distinguished itself with award-winning work in social marketing, health policy work and public affairs and I am thrilled to be in a role that will connect our global centers of excellence in these practice areas and bring global best practices to Brussels,” remarked Chertack. “Ogilvy PR will amplify those traditional skills with our best-in-class Digital Influence work in social media to create the most effective work possible for our clients.”

Ogilvy PR Brussels is part of Ogilvy Group Belgium, which includes Ogilvy & Mather, OgilvyOne and Redworks.
