Patti Sun Takes the Reins as President, OgilvyAction China

BEIJING, 7 December, 2009 – Patti Sun, the current Managing Partner of OgilvyAction Shanghai, has been named President, OgilvyAction China, effective today.

Patti joined OgilvyAction in July of this year with 15 years of solid experience in retail marketing, including 12 years in mainland China. Patti spent the previous six years as Vice President of Euro RSCG/4D Field Force based in Shanghai.

As Managing Partner in OgilvyAction Shanghai, Patti was responsible for strengthening strategic capabilities and driving integrated shopper and retail solutions across the agency.

In her new role, Patti will focus on two key areas, the first of which is to bring the creative agency’s 360 Degree offering to clients by more fully integrating OgilvyAction with the Ogilvy Group’s advertising, public relations, digital and direct marketing businesses. Patti’s other priority will be to strengthen integration of staff and resources across the agency’s China offices.

She will report to Shenan Chuang, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Group China, and John Goodman, Regional President, OgilvyAction Asia Pacific.

Determining how to help clients connect with consumers directly – and how to drive those consumers to actively select and purchase our clients’ products in shops – is of increasing importance. We are confident that Patti’s appointment will provide a more complete ‘Last Mile’ service to OgilvyAction clients across China.“

To fulfill her cross-market role, Patti will divide her time between Beijing, Shanghai and Guangzhou.
