Ogilvy Latina Receives 22 Awards at El Ojo de Iberoamérica

BUENOS AIRES, December 3, 2009 – At El Ojo de Iberoamérica Awards 2009 Ogilvy Latina took home 22 awards – five gold, five silver, 11 bronze awards, and a Grand Prix. El Ojo recognizes the year-long achievements, performance, best works and professionals in the region's advertising industry. El Ojo seeks to help build a Latina view of advertising, positioning Ibero America among the advertising world powers.

At this year's awards show, the Ogilvy Latina network ranked #6, climbing two positions from 2008.

Ogilvy Chile won 5 awards (Grand Prix, 3 Gold, 1 Silver); Ogilvy Argentina, 5 awards (1 Gold, 1 Silver, 3 Bronze); Ogilvy Brasil, 6 awards (2 Silver, 4 Bronze); Ogilvy Colombia, 4 awards (1 Silver, 3 Bronze); Ogilvy Mexico, 2 awards (1 Gold, 1 Bronze).

At the local level, Ogilvy Mexico and Ogilvy Columbia were given the Best Agency prize for their countries. And Pepe Montalvo & Miguel Ruiz and John Raul Forero & Juan José Posada were named Best Creative Directors of Mexico and Colombia, respectively.

Ogilvy Mexico's "Oportunidad" for Duracell was named Best Print locally; and Ogilvy Honduras, with Inundacion, Huracan, Terremoto, won Best Print for Centroamerica.
