NEW YORK, August 22, 2013 – Ogilvy & Mather (O&M), a division of WPP has appointed Jason Aspes global group creative director to lead creative efforts on InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG), marking his return to O&M after three years.
Aspes joined O&M, the first time around, as a regional CD for O&M Asia Pacific in 2003.
"Jason was a key part of the region's growth and creative excellence over seven years working on, recruiting and leading teams like Sprite, Disney, Motorola, Nike and other accounts," stated Tham Khai Meng, O&M Worldwide Chief Creative Officer, "We are proud that Jason has rejoined us back in his native Atlanta."
Aspes will partner with Jay Cronin, Senior Partner and GBM lead for IHG and report to Tham Khai Meng. Aspes has been tasked with leading the creative team in leveraging IHG's loyalty base and brands to drive creative excellence and grow the brand. Aspes will be based in the O&M office in Atlanta.
Previously, Mr. Aspes worked at Bates CHI & Partners in Singapore as executive creative director. Before that, he was a founding partner of Newton Circus, a sustainable business innovations company that works with multinationals on their own initiatives.
