PARIS, April 20, 2011 – With the passion and global experience required to lead and champion the worldwide Unilever Dove Hair business, Stéphanie Lauzon joins the dynamic group of Ogilvy Paris. Having a genuine belief in both the Dove and Ogilvy brand, Stéphanie explains that, for her, the brand she believes in “has to have a great DNA.”
“I am joining Ogilvy at such an exciting time,” says Stéphanie. “Ogilvy is a historical agency and network that has embraced the new technologies and is marrying it to its core advertising expertise. There are so many challenges to do great communications and build a deeper relationship with our consumers in every point of contact. It’s not just about TV and print anymore. Furthermore, being Canadian, Dove is very close to home since it has been a household name since childhood, and on an advertising level Canada was home to one of the most powerful viral campaigns, Dove Evolution.”
Stéphanie brings with her years of experience having worked with global brands from packaged-goods, to telco to automotive. And she has shared time on both the Agency and Client side going from Publicis Paris, where she managed the European Orange account, to Orange/France Telecom as the European Manager, where she was responsible for managing Marketing programs in 4 EU countries: Romania, Switzerland, Spain and Luxembourg. She also brings with her digital and content entertainment experience, important to Ogilvy, having set up her own content representation company where she was instrumental in fostering the viral success of Salambo Productions’ Têtes à Claques, among others. Stéphanie has been very engaged in TV Content and sees how Ogilvy embraces digital and brand content in the communications of its brands.
“Stéphanie is a kind of perfect hire for us,” says Benoit de Fleurian, General Director of Ogilvy & Mather France. “She is truly talented with ideas, she has a long experience of advertising, both 360 and international, and she has unique digital passion and expertise. Plus, she is Canadian, and it was one of the rare nationalities we still didn't have in the office!”
Stéphanie started her career in Montréal Canada at J. Walter Thompson and eventually found herself at Publicis, both in Canada and in Paris, managing brands such as Vidéotron Câblo-distribution, KIA Motors Québec, NFL, Nestlé Purina Europe and Orange International.
“I'm very flattered to have the opportunity to manage this great Global Brand that is embracing new ways of communicating and reaching real women is a relevant and insightful way,” concluded Stéphanie.
