NEW YORK, April 2, 2009 – Neo@Ogilvy, one of the world's largest digital and direct media agencies, has named John Anagnost to the newly created position of global director, search marketing services, leading the agency's more than 125 search specialists worldwide.
Anagnost has spent the past five years at OgilvyInteractive's Digital Strategy group, most recently as interactive marketing director, serving as global search marketing leader on IBM and directing a team of 30 Neo@Ogilvy and Ogilvy staff across all 360° programs. He will continue in that role, as well as partner with agency regional search directors and Global Strategies International (GSI), part of Neo@Ogilvy, to build out a global solutions footprint for paid and organic search, customer intent research and social media integration with search.

Prior to joining OgilvyInteractive, Anagnost was a senior director of digital strategy consulting at Modem Media and Digitas for six years. He also held senior technology and management consulting positions at General Electric and Ernst & Young.
He will be based in New York, and report to Madhany and Greg Smith, Neo@Ogilvy COO, North America. Anagnost will also work closely with Matthias Kurwig, Neo@Ogilvy global COO, to deploy a search technology infrastructure designed to keep the agency and GSI search offering ahead of the curve.
