Tham Khai Meng named Outstanding Chief

Worldwide Chief Creative Officer of Ogilvy & Mather, Tham Khai Meng, has been named Outstanding Chief/Senior Executive (Overseas) by the Singapore Business Awards (SBA). The SBA cited Khai's "creative excellence and leadership in the advertising and communications business, which has seen him build some of the world's biggest brands and agencies across four continents, and for being an outstanding role model for Singaporeans working overseas." He was one of four executives honored at the 2013 SBA ceremony on April 4th.

It draws a parrallel between Khai and David Ogilvy (who himself was an overseas chief when he left London to start up his own ageny in New York City) and includes testimonials from Sir Martin Sorrell, CEO of WPP and Miles Young, Worldwide Chairman and CEO of O&M on why they think Khai deserves this honor.

Established in 1985, the SBA has grown to be Singapore's most prestigious accolades in the business and corporate sectors. They are jointly organised by The Business Times, a business daily published by Singapore Press Holdings, and DHL, the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry.
